We went over to test out the Nikon mount Zeiss lenses on the RED at River’s green screen studio in Hoboken, NJ with the lovely Tanaya Henry. We enjoyed the clarity and sharpness of the Zeiss lenses on the RED, but the focus pulls are something that we are going to have to get used to (many of you know – they’re backwards from standard cine glass as well as working on a stills lens scale for focus). We’re eagerly awaiting our Viewfactor follow focus motor and the opportunity to use the RED Pro primes in a similar situation.

River’s studio is now well set for green screen work and a real joy to work in (ground floor load in on an easy to reach street minutes away from New York City.
